Do China plans require a VPN?
No separate VPN is needed on eligible China plans to access WeChat, Alipay and 12306. Availability may vary by plan — check plan details before purchase.
Can I use WhatsApp, Google or Instagram in China?
These apps aren't accessible on China's local networks without a routing solution. Plans with international routing for supported apps extend access to select apps — check each plan's supported app list before purchase.
Does a China eSIM work in mainland China only?
Our China plans cover mainland China. Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan are treated separately — check the destination list if you need coverage there too.
Is my phone eSIM compatible?
Most phones released since 2018 support eSIM. Check your device settings under Mobile/Cellular Data for an eSIM option.
Can I use hotspot or tethering?
Hotspot is supported on most plans — check the plan details page for confirmation.
What if my eSIM doesn't work, or I need a refund?
Contact support with your order number — we'll check your installation and activation status and process eligible refunds per our refund policy.
